This Park offers a lot. There is enough room to chill out if you want and or need it but at the same time there are many recreational things to be done. There are regular events and a Café (which is only open Wednesday through Friday).
The city gardening department has a big greenhouse as well with many different Flora to be looked at. Finally the park is also quite close to the Dälhölzli-Zoo and is therefore a great place to take a break after spending hours reading up on animal facts and watching them in their cages.
Ideal Place for Family and Children
Beautiful corner, perfect for quiet, relaxing walks. Go down to the Aare and walk back to the Tierpark/Zoo.
Very nice place to take a walk alone, with your spouse or even with the hole family. The walkpaths are well maintained. There plenty of opportunity to sit down, relax and enjoy the scenery. If you make your way there with the family, there's a nice playground located just next to "Stadtgrün". Only negative is that it can get fairly crowded during all seasons.

One of the most beautiful places in Bern. Wonderful surrounding along the river Aare.
Often you dont meet much people, especially when you go on business days in the evening you can enjoy a wonderful relaxing hangout with some bbq.
There are some firepits and most of the time wood wich you are free to use.
Beautiful woody area by the river with plenty of spots for swimming and BBQs.
Magic just "outside" the city.
